Many years ago, exhausted and desperate because of recurring health problems, I decided to try alternative methods of healing against my own “good judgement” at the time. One thing led to another (you can read all about my healing journey by clicking here) and I found myself in session with an energy healer who practiced Therapeutic Channeling.

Before the session, I explained to this healer the reason for the consultation. I was looking for healing. 

The minute she connected to my higher self, she said:

“I can see you flying. You are like a bird flying high above able to see everything; the world and people alike. You are like me. You can see and you can heal. You are a bridge between the visible and the invisible. That is your mission. That is your life purpose.”

My old, cut to the chase, lawyer self immediately interrupted her saying:

“I am here to find out about my health and to heal. I was told that you could do that. Could you focus on that please? I am not here for fortune telling!”

Without flinching she continued:

“Why are you running away from who you are? You have spent your whole life and almost all your vital energy just to avoid it. Stop running. Embrace who you are! Use your gifts and share them with the world! That’s how you will be given a clean slate. You won’t have health problems anymore.”

“I don’t get it” I said. “What do I have to do get my health back?”

“You will stop practicing law. You will give it all up.”

“That’s impossible!” I exclaimed. “I worked really hard for becoming a lawyer. It has been my dream. I won’t give it up for anything in the world!”

“But you will my dear… You will… Not right away, but you will.”

Just to humor her I said “Ok. Let’s say I give up law altogether? What will I do? How will I earn my living?”

“You will do what I do. You will be a healer, traveling the world to share your gifts with others. I can train you. You will see.”

The lady lost me right then and there. “It’s a scam” I thought to myself. “Not only do I have to pay for the session that brought me nowhere but she also wants to take advantage of my desperations and sell me a training.”

I left and went straight to the friend (a healer herself) that had suggested that I go see her. I expressed my shock at the fact that she would send people to see that swindler. When she asked me why I would think that she is a swindler, I told her what had happened.

She patiently listened to me as I described my session with lots of indignation. “Can you believe that she told me that I was like her and that she offered me a training I would have to pay for?” I said.

“I send all my clients to see her,” she said “and you are the first one she has ever told they have a gift.”

I left her practice feeling numb, playing and replaying the discussion with my friend and what the channeler had told me in my head. A few days later, something I could never have foreseen happened. The stingiest person I know, handed me an envelope with money in it as a gift. I was the exact sum that I needed for the training. I hadn’t worked for that money, it “fell out of the sky” so my cartesian mind said “You have nothing to lose. Do the training. There’s a chance she might be right. Maybe you will heal but, even if you don’t, it won’t have cost you anything; just some of your time.”

As you can guess, I did the training which lead to a series of events in my life that led me where I am now. I stopped practicing law and I became a healer.

Since then I have channeled for hundreds of people. For most of them it has been an eye opener. It has helped them resolve their problems, think more clearly and has sent quite a few of them on a spiritual path. 

I too have channeled for people “like me”; people who can channel, people who can heal, people who can “teach” by example, people who are sensitive to energy, people who can communicate with those who have passed on etc. I seem to attract them. Some of them have become my students. For others, it is supposed to “happen” later in life, when they are ready or when they have experienced what they have to experience. 

Don’t get me wrong! Not everybody who contacts me for a channeling session has a “mission” similar to mine. Not everybody who contacts me for a channeling session learns what their mission is. We each have our own life purpose and the right time to find that out.

As for me, there is a code of ethics I adhere to respecting people’s boundaries and level of readiness as well as other spiritual laws.
